Here are some links to two remixes of two relatively popular songs I decided to post. One song is a remix of a Stevie Wonders song “superstition” and the other is a remix of Michael Jackson’s song “say say say”. Both songs are considered to be techno/electronic remixes of the originals.

I have also posted the original Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson songs.

The links above are two of my favorite songs from a band called Weaver At The Loom. The band plays softer music with a heavy presence of piano throughout most of their songs. The music they play often builds up throughout the duration of the song which I believe is more entertaining than more mainstream music which only maintains a single dynamic throughout a given song.

The links above are songs from a band called Future of Forestry. They are similar to Weaver At The Loom but display a larger diversity in style between songs.

Fringe music

I don't know how much this counts. This is "Getting Dark Again" by Aselin Debison. It's a song that reminds me very strongly of feisana, or Irish dance competitions. Anyway ... this song is on her first album (Sony owns her first two albums). She now has her own recording company, which made it difficut for my sister to get her third album. She had to order it directly from her in Canada.

Then there is Lunasa, the band I posted earlier. They are my favorite Celtic band out of the many, many wonderful Celtic bands I've heard at Macey. Thier albums were produced by six degrees records. I don't think that's a major recording sompany, but, sense I don't listen to a lot of mainstream music anyway, I have a hard time judging.

The above is Niyaz, an Iranian band I also heard at Macey. I don't think they are represented by a major recording company, however I can't remember who produced thier albums. Or, I should say, is producing, as they are going to be recording a new album this spring and summer. Yay!

One of my favorite bands is Fair to Midland. Their songs are not about anything ordinary and they are rather different which makes me more interested in their music. Some of their song names are "April Fools and Eggmen," "Tall Tales Taste Like Sour Grapes" and "Dance of the Manatee."
